This is the most unusual publication I've ever experienced. In 2017 I published a queer time loop story at Flash Fiction Online, about a bus driver who feels like she's doing the same thing over and over, in the same exact street.
This month, in 2023, that same exact story was reprinted in the same exact magazine.
My time loop is in a time loop. Even I’m feeling a little dizzy.
"The First Stop Is Always the Last" is a sweet, lighthearted time loop story about that bus driver realizing she's stuck in someone else's time loop. The only passenger aboard is a nervous young woman who keeps failing to chat the driver up. There's only one way to get unstuck.
I hope that way makes you smile today. You can read this story free right at this link--whether you're in 2017, 2023, or outside of time itself.
Perfect.
