Revealing the Special Edition Paperback of Someone You Can Build A Nest In
Still in the spooky season mood? Then I've got a cover for you.
Greetings lovely readers! I bring splendid news. The paperback of Someone You Can Build A Nest In will release on April 15th in the U.S., celebrating the one-year anniversary of Shesheshen escaping out into the world. I know many readers were waiting for a smaller copy like this to emerge, and I'm so happy to confirm the paperback is on the way.
But that's just the start of the good news. Because Barnes & Noble really loves this book. They didn't just choose it for their Best Books of the Year So Far list. Hard-working booksellers at B&N voted to support a special edition of the paperback of Someone You Can Build A Nest In. And this weekend, they made it official.
Just looking at this image makes me giddy. This is several bucket list items all rolled into one. They redid James Fenner's gorgeous cover in a new eerie green and purple aesthetic. It came out unbelievably well! They'll even be doing purple sprayed edges on all the sides of the book to match the cover's mood.
Out of gratitude for their offer, I contributed something myself. For the Barnes & Noble exclusive edition, I've added three never-before-published epilogue chapters that take place after the original close of the story. It is a brand new adventure for Shesheshen, Homily, and a certain someone, when they receive an unexpected request: another town begs them to come hunt their monster. Apparently a vampire is on the prowl. Can Shesheshen find it?
This Barnes & Noble exclusive edition of Someone You Can Build A Nest In will release day-and-date with the regular paperback on April 15.
That's one hibernation away, if you're a wyrm.
Since the edition was announced, I was bowled over to see Someone You Can Build A Nest In hit the Top 100 Bestsellers List for all of Barnes & Noble. It went as high as # 67 at midnight last night, which simply took my breath away.
Thank you to everyone for the amazing reception for my monster. I'm going to try to visit a few Barnes & Noble stores during April to sign copies and help celebrate. I hope I'll get to see some of you there.
There will also be news about my second book pretty soon... but that's another newsletter. For now I'll just promise my next book is chock full of monsters.
I just finished this book a few days ago as an audiobook and absolutely adored everything about it. I’m so excited to order this stunning paperback version of it!
